We know that you will be very busy during this season but we hope that you will remember the importance of being at the Dojo as often as you can. We would hope that you consider everyone at the Dojo like a Family member and will share the spirit of the season with each of us.

BATTLEGROUND / SEI SHIN KAN / SAKURA WEB SITE UPDATES
All three of our Web Sites - BattleGround, Sei Shin Kan and Sakura have undergone and are still undergoing major changes. Many new pages and features have been added including a private set of interactive learning pages available only to Sei Shin Kan Staff, Students and associates with special permission. For information on the special interactive pages send a request. Check out and re-check the pages often and discover what we have by trying out all of the links you come across. Your feedback, questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome.
1997 I.T.P. GRADUATION CEREMONY
Everyone is welcome to come and see the Sei Shin Kan Instructor Training Program Graduation Ceremony on Sunday December 7th at 2:00 pm. I.T.P. candidates have completed the intensive program that lasted over one year. I.T.P. candidates are introduced to a series of technical sessions dealing with highly specialized knowledge not available to the general martial arts community. They will receive a Shido-In grade license to teach the martial arts. This licensing system is a level above the mere black belt (Dan) grading system. Less than 1/2 percent of martial artists in the World ever receive an actual teaching license of this kind. Please come and join them for this special occasion.
MARTIAL ARTS MODERN WEAPON / TRAINING DEVICE SHOWCASE
Candidates of the Sei Shin Kan Instructor Training Program have recently completed giving their final project presentations on the development of a modern weapon and a martial arts related training device. The submissions and creations were fantastic! So much so that we are going to Showcase these items for you giving you a chance to learn about the development and use of the weapons and training devices they created. We promise that you will be pleased and amazed at what they came up with. You will more than likely see some of these items available Nationwide in the future. Here is your chance to see the original prototypes before they get to mass market.
WHAT: A one night, Showcase on newly created martial arts related weapons and training devices developed by candidates of the Sei Shin Kan Instructor Training Program. The creators will explain, demonstrate, and give you a chance to try out these new innovations.
WHEN: Tuesday evening, December 9th, 1997 at 7:45 PM to 9:00 PM.
WHERE: The Sei Shin Kan? of course.
WHO: Any Martial Arts student or enthusiast.

At the Sei Shin Kan we believe in giving credit and recognition to those who distinguish themselves at the Dojo and in Life throughout the year. There are several award categories and divisions. Each recipient is presented with a formal Certificate of Recognition at our Annual Sei Shin Kan Christmas Party. The categories and divisions are listed below. You can help us select those outstanding individuals by clicking on the Vote icons. Clicking on the Vote icons will bring up an window where you should put in the following:

DOJOCHRISTMAS TREEIS UP |
Thanks to Paula Jones Sensei and Chris Townsend Sempai, our traditional Dojo Christmas Tree is up for your enjoyment and on display in the Sei Kei Zan (the name of our indoor Japanese Garden). The tree is adorned with several martial arts related ornaments that were hand made by Sei Shin Kan students some of which are over 20 years old. Everyone is welcome to hand-make a martial arts related ornament to hang on it for all to see in the years to come. Make it and bring it in as soon as you can. Don't forget to express your thanks to Jones Sensei and Townsend Sempai when you see them.
SEI SHIN KAN INTERACTIVE LEARNING ON THE WEB
A series of private interactive learning pages are being put up on the Internet for all Sei Shin Kan Staff and Students. The first pages deal with Sei Shin Kan Dojo Yogo (vocabulary) and Dojo Kun (precepts). These pages are excellent learning tools that include the the phonetic soundings of the Yogo and Dojo Kun. There are some interactive forms with buttons that generate information, graphic elements and even some Audio files for you to listen to. Right now, these pages are still under construction but a few are active for you to try out. If you are interested in obtaining access to these pages, send us a request for access. Remember that these pages are currently restricted to Sei Shin Kan Staff and Students. Once you gain access, you may not give out the URLs. Send in your request now and start the learning process. We look forward to your comments and suggestions.
